Grease returns this April due to demand!

Cork Opera House is delighted to officially announce the return of our wildly popular production of GREASE from acclaimed director Bryan Flynn and his creative team. The show smashed all box office records selling out each of its summer shows earlier this year and returns due to overwhelming public demand.

Time to dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and take a trip to a simpler time as bad boy Danny and the girl next door Sandy fall in love all over again! Running from Thurs 03 April, for a two week run, the lavish production is back to transform the Opera House stage and it’s surrounds into 1950’s Rydell High School, where the familiar summer romance between Danny and Sandy unfolds in a music and dance extravaganza with performances of the most memorable and unforgettable songs from the hit movie including 'You’re The One That I Want', 'Grease Is The Word', 'Summer Nights', 'Hopelessly Devoted To You', 'Sandy', 'Greased Lightnin’ and more!

The Wexford 'Wunderkind' winds her way back to her homeland for a short Irish tour next April to coincide with the release of her 4th album. 'Wallis Bird' was released in 2012 to unanimous critical acclaim, including a nomination for the Choice Music Prize. Being the Road Warrior that she is, Wallis spent the year out on tour promoting it. She played well over 100 shows around the world last year - she had a gig somewhere every 3.5 days. If you didn't see her you must be living in Ulan Bator or Tierra Del Fuego, such was her global reach.
