Where is my Mind? – Niall Breslin

Having led a colourful life thus far and being no stranger to a slap from the dark side, Niall ‘Bressie’ Breslin has made it his vocation to excavate and discover what it is that makes us humans dive, survive, recover and thrive in the head melty-chaos of the modern world.

In 2024, Niall takes his quest on the road with the WHERE IS MY MIND live show. The unique and intoxicating mix of music, spoken word, monologues and incredible guests is coming to a number of prolific venues across Ireland and the UK.

This marvelous show has captivated audiences with its humour, heart, relatability and creativity.

Breslin’s distinctive storytelling, skillful delivery and carefully crafted soundtrack disarms the audience and brings them with him on a compelling and, at times, emotional journey. His unparalleled capacity to connect with his guests in a humorous and profoundly human way is why he won this year’s Irish podcast award for best interview.

Guests for the live shows have included U2’s Adam Clayton, Michael Harding and Conor Moore, with some very special guests lined up for the April tour.

Professor Brian Cox – Horizons: A 21st Century Space Odyssey

Horizons has taken over 250,000 people across three continents on a dazzling journey; a story of how we came to be and what we can become. Using state of the art screen technology, venues across the world from New Zealand to the Arctic Circle have been filled with images of far-away galaxies, alien worlds, supermassive black holes and the latest theories of the origin of the Universe.

What is the nature of space and time? How did life begin, how rare might it be and what is the significance of life in the Cosmos? What does it mean to live a small, finite life in a vast, eternal Universe? Having travelled the world, it’s now time for a final journey around our magnificent and baffling Universe.

Horizons is a celebration of our civilisation, of our music, art, philosophy and science; an optimistic vision of our future if we continue to explore Nature with humility and to value ourselves and our fellow human beings.

This House a Home – Culture Night

Join local historian Brigid McCarthy on an audio tour through Cork Opera House, exploring hidden parts of the building and the history of this cultural landmark; a symbol of music and theatre for the people of Cork since 1855.

As we delve into the building’s history, including the destruction of Cork Opera House by fire in 1955, we learn the impact of the past on the present, and how people of Cork truly feel about this building today.

Interrogating who gets to call the Opera House a home, and why some people get to feel more “at home” in cultural spaces than others, This House a Home asks of its audiences: can Cork Opera House ever be a space where we all belong?
