Cork Opera House is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to all our audiences, making every effort to welcome everyone who wishes to visit.

We take pride in treating every patron with respect and fairness, ensuring that each individual has a pleasant and comfortable experience while enjoying the theatre.

Accessible Bookings

To book wheelchair & other accessible tickets please contact our Box Office directly in person, by phone, or through email.

If you or a guest of the theatre has a condition that you feel might affect your experience while in the theatre our staff are only too glad to help and ensure you are happy & safe so that you enjoy the show.

Please feel free to ask questions in advance of your arrival, or ask to speak to a Duty Manager while in the theatre so that they can assist you if necessary.

We have trained first aiders or medics on hand for every show.

Patrons with Mobility Issues

Cork Opera House is fully accessible for persons with restricted movements, both ambulant and wheelchair-bound. Our wheelchair lift on the ground floor gives greater accessibility to the auditorium.

Our elevator is situated on the left side of the main entrance to Cork Opera House. This enables patrons complete access to all levels of our building.

Our wheelchair accessible toilets are situated on our first (accessed via the auditorium) and our top floors.

Provision has been made to accommodate up to 5 wheelchair users and their companions in a variety of prime locations within our auditiorum. These tickets must be booked directly through our Box Office directly in advance of your visit.

Accessible Parking

Cork City Council facilitates accessible parking in the city for those with a Disabled Person’s Parking Permit. The nearest accessible parking spots currently available are on Emmett Place, alongside the Crawford Art Gallery.

Assistive Listening for Hearing Impaired People

An induction loop is in operation for patrons with hearing difficulties. People with hearing aids should set them to ‘T’.

Assistance Dogs

All trained assistance dogs are welcome at Cork Opera House.

Relaxed Performances

Cork Opera House is delighted to present Relaxed Performances of our annual winter Panto. These relaxed shows are very important to our staff and community, and we look forward to welcoming families back to our house for these performances each Christmas. Information for Families

Buggy Access:
For family shows such as our Christmas Panto, Peppa Pig, Bluey etc., where young children will be present, we reserve an area to park buggies for the duration of the show free of charge. Please note, there is very limited space here, if possible it is advisable to leave buggies at home. Ushers will be on hand to assist, however it should be noted that buggies and items in this area are left at the owner’s risk.

Baby Changing Facilities:
Baby changing facilities are available in our ground floor bathroom, to the left hand side of our building.
