Seating Plan
There are two distinct levels to the seating arrangement in the auditorium, the ground floor Stalls and first floor Dress Circle.
Please click here to view the standard seating chart for most performances.
This chart can vary from time to time, for example if we are hosting a full orchestra for an operatic production the first four rows of the stalls may be removed to accommodate this, or various seats may be blocked off to accommodate certain show requests such as speakers or recording equipment. If any of this is the case it is reflected in individual show seating charts, which are visible in the booking process of all shows.
Accessible seating is located at various sections of the auditorium and there are toilets located on each level. Read more about Accessibility at Cork Opera House here.
Boxes
Cork Opera House features four private Boxes, named after four great composers; Mozart, Verdi, Bizet and Puccini.
Boxes are intimate, separated seating areas in the auditorium for a limited number of people for private viewing of a performance or event. They provide an excellent way to elevate your theatre experience – with unique views of the auditorium and VIP treatment, you’ll feel like the star of the show! Sitting in a private box is an unforgettable experience, perfect for a night out with friends, a special occasion with loved ones, a truly magical family day out or the perfect space for corporate entertainment.
Adjoining the Mozart and Verdi corporate boxes is The Elbow Room, an abstract room that juts out over the River Lee on the North wall of Cork Opera House. The Elbow Room is an uber exclusive space, equipped for all your needs. With a wall of curved floor-to-ceiling glass windows the Elbow Room offers sublime views across Cork city’s historic Northside, making it an idyllic location to host and entertain guests, stakeholders or colleagues.
Theatre boxes are available to book for most shows but please note that their availability per performance is limited. If you have a box booking enquiry, please contact our Partnerships & Development Manager Laura Noonan at lnoonan@corkoperahouse.ie.
